"STRANGE"
This has been a strange few days, it started last week one morning when the bosses were here we all went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast. Seems I remember going several times to Cracker Barrell right after a holiday and they would be having a sidewalk sale, so on this particular day there was the sale. I didn't really see anything other than some books on disc which were very good deals so I bought 4, as i ride allot and sometimes for many miles a day. Thought these would help pass the miles away. The next day, went to work and put in a disc to listen to the first book, and guess what? The book wasn't a very good book, but the character's name was Laney, and she was from Arkansas, not form Scott Arkansas, but a place called Summerville... had time that day to listen to the whole book on our run...next day was off but the next day popped another one in.....AND.in this book "Elaine" lived next door to the lady they found murdered in this small little town. Another book i was involved in...lol Now that's not all...I had been staying in St. Joe, MO (which is a nice town) but the motel was loud and everyone was gone, on our crew, but me. So I thought I would move on over to Elwood KS to an old motel close to the yard and then would be able to sleep later, before having to go to the Yard, which is only a few blocks. Anyway back to this old Motel, now it's not the Bates or anything, but directly in front of the bed was a large mirror over an old desk and behind the bed on the other wall was a long light under this picture. Now as observant as I am, or maybe as tired as I was, I got a shower and got ready for bed, reaching up behind the bed to the long light and switched it on, went online looken' around, and something on the TV caught my attention, as I glanced up... i noticed the reflection in the mirror, and what I saw was the old picture that used to hang in moma's Living room. The one I have at home in the Storage building, painted by Robert Wood of the old log cabin in front of some mountains with a stream in front. I was with her the day she bought that old picture at West Department Store in Benton, I think I might have be 12 yrs. old and for as long as I can remember it hung in her house. Do you think it's like a coincidence or is someone speaking to me?

Missouri "wild sunflowers"
For the past few weeks we have been traveling a 162 mile one way trip east on hwy 36 across the great state of Missouri, you can get kinda bored just looken' for something new along the way that you think maybe you haven't seen more than once, but the other day on the run I finally noticed that for miles and miles and miles there are sunflowers.
At first I thought maybe these golden beauties were black-eyed susans, but on good authority was told they are indeed wild sunflowers. Also the golden rods are in full bloom, my dad, Amos Keesee always told me at home when the (ragweed) bloomed down the lane going into the oldriver, that it would be only six more weeks until first frost, and usually old Amos was right, come six weeks later and there would be frost on the ground. It's such amazing beauty with the rolling hills, the fields of corn, and the green grass.........then all these yellow dots along the way. makes me believe God is a great decorator.
